Photography course snapshot
This promises to be one of our best courses ever! The location is like no other we have ever shot at or taught at! We will start the day off with a tour of the ship over coffee & cookies! After which we will look at the equipment we have at our disposal for the day. Looking at different lighting techniques that I use when shooting Portraiture & fashion based imagery on location. We will be playing with different sets onboard the ship and shooting a mixture of different themes. Looking at how to produce beautifully lit portraits - some ship based and others more fashion oriented. Using different lighting techniques, filters and maybe a little haze for atmosphere! We will create as a group and learn together. Just as our Asylum course was an amazing experience I promise that this day also will be full of opportunity and laughs! Learn how to light , gently and create portraits and fashion imagery like you never thought possible. The techniques that we will be going through on the day are valuable in all aspects of your photography. Whether you shoot kids, weddings, fashion or portraits or indeed all of the above then you will be able to use what you learn on the course in your own photography. If you would like to check out some more of my commercial portraiture & fashion work please go to my other site HERE to see more beautiful imagery!
So if you want an amazing experience learning how to take your own lighting skills to another level then this is the day for you.

Who is this course aimed at?
Our courses are open to anyone that wants to improve their own photographic technique. Brett teaches in such a way that he makes it easy to understand. So if you are a hobbiest or an advanced pro then you will learn something from Brett Harkness. You will only have to take a look around the site to see Brett's style or open any of 3 photography magazines this month to see articles from Brett. This is the first time I have talked about and taught some of my portrait techniques so its a great opportunity to get on the training day of a lifetime with one of the uk's best lighting & portrait photographers. So if you haven't been on one of our training courses yet, take the plunge, you won't regret it.
Who is onboard?
We are super excited to announce that Ricoh Pentax UK will be with us on the day if you want to have a play with the fabulous Pentax 645z cameras ( there is no obligation ) this is the camera that I use for my commercial portraiture & fashion work. We also will have us some amazing kit from the Flash Centre using the latest Elinchrom ELB 1200 packs amongst other things. We will be shooting actor Cameron Moon & also a female model ( yet to be chosen ) working on some sets with both of them and then individually learning different techniques for portraiture and fashion.

What photographers say about our courses.....
David Long- "I just wanted to say a big thank you for yesterday, I had a thoroughly enjoyable day and learnt a lot.I'm not quite a workshop junkie but do love learning and have attended a fair few! I do have to say that this is probably the best session that I have been to. What shone through was the quality and attention to detail throughout the day from the venue, to the models to the quality of information/instruction and the opportunity to learn and shoot - you both did a fantastic job!"
Stephen - " My mind was blown away with the information and have already started ordering new equipment to get practising!!!
I had a fantastic day and thought it was extremely well organized. Brett you were very inspirational and the information I hope comes in very useful for my future weddings. Kristie thanks for your kind hospitality it was very much appreciated and holding the flash all afternoon. I got some great images and loved every minute.
Thank you again and I will be n touch soon Brett for some one to one training but think the day of shooting sounds good. "
